I don’t often talk about stuff like this, but there is one point that is always dragged out like a tired old horse, and flogged to death.

The point always used is this - “If a guy has had sex with multiple partners then he isn’t considered a slut, he’s patted on the back by his male peers and women coo over him around the water cooler, and speculate as to his skills.”

This is not true.

I’ve been called a slut on many an occasion, a male slut, but a slut none the less.

If a woman is called a slut, then other women use it as a weapon against her, and they have a problem with her. As a general rule, if a woman is called a slut then most guys don’t have a problem with it. Hell, a slut is a man’s best friend. She will talk to him about sex, she will be a great friend, and if he is lucky he might get to jump her bones. And, when a slut decides to settle down, the guy who gets her feels lucky because she has played the field and chosen him as a partner for life.

So the sexist attitude there is not a ‘man’ thing, but a ‘woman’ thing. As the girls are the ones with the issues.

As for the second point… When a man is a slut, most other guys will slap him on the back, agreed. But they will also not trust that man to be friends with their girlfriends/wives. However, they will mostly see it as a mark of manhood.

However, when a man is considered a slut he is looked on with derision by most women. They might have some gossip chatter about how endowed he is, or how good he is at various aspects of ‘The Sex’, but 80-90% opf women will not touch him or consider him an option, becauyse he is a slut. Women want someone pure just as much as men do, but women are less willing to lower their standards.

In the grand scheme of things, I am pretty chaste. I have gone down on a lot of girls, and a lot more girls have gone down on me. But I have only had ‘full intercourse’ with eight girls in my 31-and-a-bit years. Eight girls is not a lot. But I have still be deemed a slut in my 20s, and a lot of girls turned me down for dates because of ‘my reputation’

So, to sum up. If women want the ‘double standards’ to change… It is up to the women to change them, as the men are all good in the hood.

PS - Slut is just a word. Every word is just a word, the power granted to that word comes from society.

I will happily call a gay friend a faggot, a black friend a nigger, and a female friend who sleeps with lots of guys a slut. I don’t mean it as a derogatory term, but as a mark of respect that I trust them to understand me and my lack of social boundaries.
